ah what a nice first year.
Fallout New Vegas, Assassins creed Brotherhood, Black ops and of course Halo reach all got to tickle our senses and proved how awesome video games are!
This has been a great year for games, but, it seems next year might be a bit barren. or will it?
we've got gears of war 3 coming out at the end of the year but before that we have a new marvel vs capcom, new fallout downloadble content and hopefully but not certain a brand spanking new assassins creed!
so it's time to say farewell. thanks for supporting me by reading my reviews. I couldn't have had a better audience.

Fallout New Vegas: Dead Money

Okay I know it's been ages since I made a post. College got in the way, plus I was feeling pretty sick. And with college on the way I might be a while till I review something new.

But. I have some good news Fallout fans! The new DLC named, "Dead Money", will be out on December the 21st for 800 microsoft points. Of course it's an xbox exclusive and sadly it won't be coming to the pc or ps3. Yet. There is a rumor going round that it might come around at some point for other consoles.
So get ready for Christmas full of nuclear radiation.

Also, I am hoping to get black ops soon. I only got the full details last week and now I'm hooked on it.

Darth Vader

Ah Darth Vader. The main character of the Star wars trilogy.
After playing the Force Unleashed II I realised that Vader, despite being the main character, has rarely been a playable character in games. It's only in these modern times that Vader manages to get free of the boss battle chains and grabs hold of the playable character lightsaber. that didn't make much sense did it?
Well, I figured I would do some research and get you up to speed on the dark lords appearances as a playable character in a special post.

Star Wars: Dark Forces Jedi knight II: Mysteries of the sith
In a special download pack for this pretty good star wars game, Darth Vader appeared as a multiplayer character skin. However the dark lord seemed to be missing a glove and had a normal human right hand.

Star Wars: Podracer-II
A young anakin Skywalker made an appearance as a special playable character in this classic racing game. and it's sequel where he had grown up into a moody teenager.

Star Wars: Lego
Anakin as a boy, teenager, Jedi knight, ghost, Clone wars hero and finally as Darth Vader.
These where all special characters that you could play in the famous star wars game.

Star Wars: Episode III revenge of the sith movie game.
For most of the games levels, players got to play as a good anakin and as a evil before his 'accident' anakin. Also after playing the secret Revenge of the Sith level, players could get there hands on the mechanical Vader, who had to fight an elderly obi-wan on the death star.

Star Wars: The clone wars games
In the games that where based of the still running and highly successful, clone wars series, Players got to play as Anakin while he was still the hero every one looked up to.

Star Wars: The force unleashed
Vader was playable in the first level of this brilliant game, in which you took down multiple wookies and then got into a fight against a powerful Jedi knight. Also in the Wii version, if you type in Sith Lord (Please note I might have mispelt this) into the cheat code section, Darth Vader became unlocked as a special costume.

Soul Caliber IV
Lucky PS3 owners got to take Vader along for a pretty cool ride as they cut in to popular characters from the series.
All xbox owners got was Yoda.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II- Lord Starkiller will return

Even if you where hiding under a rock, with a sound proof helmet on and had sworn not to come out until 2009, then you would have undoubtedly have heard of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, a mediocre game that was set place in between Episode III and Episode IV , a rather dark period in Star Wars history.
In 2009, Two DLC packs where released that took place after the evil ending to the force unleashed.

Spoilers:
the main character was badly injured and was forced to don some Darth Vader armour.
Spoilers end:

Seeing what would have happened if Starkiller had taken Vader's place in the original movies, The 2 DLC managed to get past episodes IV and V but didn't get to VI.
The last DLC ended with a cliffhanger as Starkiller took Luke to be his new apprentice. But with the Force Unleashed II out, that ending we are hoping for is gone.

Or so we thought.

Before he left Lucas arts, Haden Blackman the creator of the series, has confirmed that some more DLC will be released that will show us what will happen to Luke and his new master.

When will it be released? Unknown. But I bet it will be sometime next year.

All I know is that I can't wait to get my hands on the Force Unleashed II.

Fallout: New Vegas

Ah Fallout. Ever since I put your third game in my Xbox, I've been addicted to your amazing series. Of course old Fallout fans have had a mixed reception to the game. They have called it an oblivion rip off. Of course Bethesda made oblivion which does make it seem like a pretty ridiculous reason. So, has Obsidian done a good job on this game? Or have they made a truly awful game that should be put in quarantine?

Plot:
You are the Courier. A simple person trying to make it along in life. Whether they are old or young, male or female it's up to you. One day you receive an important assignment. Deliver a platinum chip to the owner of Las Vegas, the mysterious Mr House. Unfortunately, your knocked out and awake to find you hands tied, on top of a lonely mountain, with a few other graves. A swave gangster loads up his gun and shoots you in the head.
But the next day you wake up, with a headache, inside a doctors house with multiple questions:
"Who the hell shot me?" "Why did they want the chip?" "Where am I"
So starts your grand journey, that will end with the fate of the wasteland in your hands.
The plot is good. It starts of interesting but it is kinda off weak. It's not until the end, when you decide which side your on, that the story gets interesting. Besides the main story, there are an array of side quests. And let me tell you, they are incredibly nuts. A female super mutant that has kidnapped a Spanish ghoul and has him holed up in an abandoned radio station.
A cybernetic dog needs a new brain, so you have to traverse the wasteland looking for one.
And finally, A bunch of ghouls who want you to take care of some special mutants, then help them fix their space ships so they can go into space. How insane. But there are a few weak quests. Like the brotherhood of steels quests. Run and fetch. Run and fetch.

Gameplay:
Fallout is game that can be played a different way depending on your character. They could be a good guy who would rather talk his way out of a confrontation. Or he could be an evil cannibal that inflicts pain with his chainsaw. Or she could be an eagle eyed sniper, that protects the innocent but if a more promising offer comes along that could be an evil act, she'll take it.
Of course combat can be a bit difficult. Sniping can be tricky, shooting people in and out of cover is slow and shooting people with a rocket launcher is bit random.
But vats save it. Yes I know, you may be saying that VATS requires no talent, but I don't want to hear it. It takes skill. You have to get close to the enemy and then calculate which is the best place to hit. It is interesting feature and with a few good perks you can play the whole game as a turn based combat experience.
Of course companions are easier to keep a hold of. A new feature, called the companion wheel, allows you to give companions commands without all the hassle of pointless dialog. It works perfectly.
Weapons are also awesome. Mods allow you to take your favorite machine gun and turn it into a bringer of death.
And finally hard core mode is amazing. With it switched on you must regularly feed your character, make sure they sleep and also get them to drink some water. But remember it's not for the faint of heart. Companions can die and even with very easy difficulty on, You can still take pretty big amounts of torture.
Of course there are some bugs. Sometimes a quest cannot be completed because the game won't allow the npcs to react to new developments. Also the game may freeze unexpectedly for no reason meaning any progress you made is now gone. Of course there are some good bugs. Like killing an NCR ranger while, say, being behind a rock a mile away means you don't get any bad karma or bad reputation with the NCR.
Still, remember to save regularly!

Graphics:
Okay. There not pretty. There actually a bit ugly. There is a lot more colour, but the old fallout 3 engine is showing it's age. Of course you can't blame it. We already have a massive wasteland full of detail. So for a game this big, there okay.

Music, Sound and Voice acting:
Music: Composed by the original fallout composer, it's full of emotion. One minute your scared. The next you feel slightly lonely. Then your going along to the sounds of battle. Truly inspiring.
Sound: The sound of battle echos throughout the canyons. Guns, Cash machines, explosions it's all there and it's all sounds realistic. And awesome.
Voice acting: I'll admit, The voice acting in the last fallout was flat. But in this it's full of emotion, and portrays the character brilliantly.

Conclusion:
Fallout: New Vegas is very similar to Fallout 3. But, it's so much more. It's not perfect, but it's getting close. In short buy this game. You'll be sucked in. See you later, I'm going to go Gecko hunting!

Diamond

Fallout: new vegas, patch for bugs!

America got a hold of fallout new Vegas on the 19th of October and all ready, despite rave reviews, many gamers are complaining about the horrible bugs. Bethesda have announced that a patch is coming to PC gamers that will fix most of the bugs that has rendered the game unplayable and console gamers aren't far behind.
Now if you live in good old Europe then you will obviously know that Fallout New Vegas is coming out on the 22nd (tomorrow) so be sure to check back soon after words to hear my view on this game.

Before I leave you to process to days info I have more Fallout related news.
A new DLC is coming to fallout in time for Christmas! there isn't that much info out yet, so we will have to wait a while, but expect a slight festive cheer around it.
Unfortunately I have some bad news. It is only available to xbox gamers. PS3 fans will have to keep going with the original content in fallout. Sorry!

So if you are worried about the bugs, don't be. There getting fixed so you should be able to enjoy the game in all it's glory.

Batman Arkham Asylum has plans for Arkham city.

If you read my old reviews on Facebook, then you'll remember that Arkham Asylum (in my opinion it's the best super hero game) got a diamond.

And now a sequel titled Arkham City will be released Autumn next year. Unfortunately there isn't much info on the new game, but there are some awesome new pics out there and a rumour has come around saying that the new game will have co-op (we will touch on this more later on).

Interestingly it has been revealed that Arkham City was already planned before the game was released.

Inside the wardens office there is a secret room that cannot be seen with detective vision.

Now a final issue to touch. Co-op.
Apparently the game will allow player number 2 to play as Catwomen (a crafty women who carries a whip and wears hot leather. Yeah, It sounds degrading but trust me, she proves a women can stand on there own two feet) against the multiple bad guys in the city.

however some rumors have surfaced saying Robin the boy wonder will be there to help his adoptive father.

Now before you go off into your dream world of Catwomen strutting along in hot, wet leather while she -
WAKE UP!!
It's more likely that the first Robin, who now goes by the name Nightwing, will jump in to help save the day.
There both nearly the same height. There is only an age gap of 10 years between them. And the only difference in fighting styles is that Nightwing likes to jump a lot.
So until Rocksteady release any more information, we're stuck with all these possibility's.

Gears of War 3: Bad knews!

So. I guess at the moment anyone who likes Gears of War, has been planning to take a few days of next year to get some extra time on the last in the amazing trilogy.

Well you can forget about that. Microsoft has just announced that Gears of War 3 is being delayed until Fall 2011.

The game, which follows Marcus Fenix searching for his father after the COG disband, is being delayed by Microsoft to be there big game for Christmas. It's purely a business decision as they said in this statement:



"The teams at Microsoft Game Studios and Epic Games have done great work thus far readying the title for release in the Spring of 2011. However, we’ve elected to move the launch of Gears of War 3 until Fall 2011 to make it the marquee title for the holiday season."

So like me you have just started crying, thumping the walls and basically cursing Microsoft.

Still. This gives epic a chance to fix the games bugs and there is also the possibility there may be an early demo.

So, check back here fall 2011 to check out on weather gears 3 is going to be great, or just absolutely terrible.

Halo: Reach

Halo. The moment the name is uttered, you instantly jump to the game instead of that golden ring over the angels head. But why? It changed the way we looked at the fps genre. It gave us two guns instead of a hundred. It made us choose a different strategy each time we played the same level on a higher difficulty. In short it has grown from a simple video game, into a cultual phenomon. And now Bungie has passed the torch to 343 Studios. But not before giving out one last hurrah in the form of Halo Reach. But is it any good?. I’m here to find out.

Plot:
The battle of reach was a major event in the halo universe. The planet was the last stand between earth and the covernant and also was were the spartan soldiers (The program that turned six year olds into battle hardened soldiers and spat out the Master Chief along with Noble Six) the entire planet was glassed and the Master Chief was forced to flee to the stars starting of the events of the first Halo game: Combat Evolved.
You are Noble Six. A spartan assasin/commando, who is sent to replace a dead spartan in Noble Team. The team is informed that a communication beacon has gone down and that terriorists are responsible. But when the team investigates, they discover something much worse…
The plot isn’t as good as the first halo, but it sure does beat the other game plots in the series. It is full of emotion and can more or less cause tears in even the most steel hearted gamer.This plot is also fantastic because it is able to draw you in, even though you know right at the start you are going to fail. Of course there is one problem. There was humor in the last games, but in this prequel you are not going to laugh much. Even the little high piched squeks of the grunts, which caused many a gamer to chuckle, has been changed into a Darth Vader like rasp. This possibly isn’t too bad though. The plot is meant to be dark, so that point might be a bit pathetic. Still, combat evolved managed to cause fear near the end, which is something Reach can sadly, not achieve.

Gameplay:

Now obvously there is a problem with the halo gameplay problem I must adress. Bungie has given so many new stuff it just can’t give anything else out. So what does it do?
Simple. It upgrades all the old stuff around into something spectacular.
First off, weapons. Some have been changed to be more similar to the first games weapons. The Assualt Rifle is more similar to the Halo Combat Evolved rifle. It is easier to control the gunfire, allowing you to make short controlled burts. The Pistol is once again a powerful weapon, that can take down most enemies. Of course it isn’t to powerful. It has been made slightly weaker, but not too weak.
Some new weapons have been added to the armoury. These include the DMR, a fantastic new weapon that is reinvetion of the battle Rifle form halo 3. It fires a single powerful bullet that can instantly kill an unshielded enemy if you hit them in the head. And the plasma launcher locks on to a target and then fires severall plasma grenades at them.
Unfourtantly there are some weapons and vehicles that where never needed in the first place. The plasma reapeter is just a larger version of the plasma rifle. The Revenant is the same as the ghost, only it has a weaker wraith mortar on the top. In the end, I feel the game could have done without these additons. They just make the game feel bloated.
Of course Loadouts are awesome. They keep Gameplay interesting by letting you fly or turning you invisble. They allow a gamer to play by there streanghs, so if you are one of those people who like to get an assasination, simply select the invisiblty loadout and stab your enemies face in (oh yeah, now you are able to do more humilating moves on the enemy!). Of course I don’t like the fact that you can’t customize the weapons. It does seem strange that the stealthy guy gets a grenade launcher, while the sprinter gets a DMR.
Multiplayer is something special. There are the classic modes:
Slayer
King of the Hill
Infection
Etc
And a new mode, Invasion, that pits spartan against elite in a battle to the death. Of course it is just brutal fun. One side has to get the core of an enemies base and one side protects the core. Of course explosions, stabbing, gunfire and lots of blood spilling follow soon after.
Finally campaign. The AI is fantastic, but unfourtantly your team members can be a bit dim. Multiple times, the sniper killed me while taking down an elite. This is something I havent seen in a halo game before. But the problem only occurs rarely.
I would give it a 10.

Music, sound effects and acting.
The music in the Halo games has always been beatiful. It is fast, slow, loud, quiet, happy, sad, creepy, funny. In short it portrays the mood you are supposed to be feeling. If you are fighting a last stand Marty gives off a slow tune before making it action packed and loud!
The acting is just as realistic as it was in the last few halo games. The actors add a sense of belivebilty to the characters, and they really provoke an emotion from the player.
The sound effects are even better than the last few halo games. Plasma weapons are alien and strange, while human weapons are realistic and pack a punch.
In the end halo is just a beatifully composed game. And it is all because of Marty O Donnel. If he wasn’t on the game, the music and sound would be horrible. It deserves a 10

Graphics:
Lets face it, Halo has never had good graphics.
1: Looked like a ps1 game
2: had a leather like texture to it.
3: very pointy faces and clothes.
But reach?
It’s never going to be as good looking as gears of war or Call of duty, but it is….
Quite beatiful.
Things look a lot more realistic. And things look a lot more awesome.
Spartans are strong super soldiers, elites are frighting Aliens and enviorments are well..
One point I was looking at the snowy mountains on the planet. It was cool, and almost looked like something out of a nature show. Then I got run over by a grunt. And the realistc blood splatters didn’t ruin the mood.
In the end all the other halo games look terrible. In fact I couldn’t believe what I was looking at when I fired Reach up.

Conclusion: when I was seven years old, when you where a teenager who was getting ready for college, or when you where getting your first job, we where all informed that we where just getting started. And by god was that right.
But it’s been 9 long years. Now I’m going to college and you are probably are working a fantastic job, or you now have a wife/husband and kids. Our lives have changed. We have grown up. And now we have to wave goodbye to halo. We have had a great 9 years but it had to come to an end.
Of course you want to know if reach is any good. My opinion?
Yes you will have a blast regardless of the fact you have never played a halo game or have played every single halo game.
In the end Halo Reach has proven that the series will never die. It is just missing in action.

Spider-man Shattered Dimensions

Finally it's here! But was the wait worth it?
Lets find out True Believers!!

Plot:
This is a very comic bookie plot.
After shattering the tablet of order and chaos, 4 Spiderman are sent to Find the pieces. But mysterio Wants those pieces two as he can now use real magic powers not special effects.
Noir, 2099, ultimate, and amazing all band together to save there universes before the tablet destroys them all.
Mysterio seems to be the main bad guy a lot.
The plot sounds good. but there isn't much two it. Not good, but not bad either.

Gameplay:
Well it's actually very good. Combos are easy to pull off, and levels are awesome. The wall crawling isn't good. but everything else is great, not to mention awesome unlocks like costumes and concept art.
Levels could be better. They are a great but....they repeat.
Do some stuff, fight boss, do more stuff, fight boss, boss uses tablet becomes more powerful, fight him you win. Only the final level gets rid of this.
Boss fights are cool though.
Each spidey plays differently but it is amazing how they got each one so right.
Amazing: he uses web attacks and is the most well rounded. awesome quips and satisfying combat.
Ultimate uses Attacks that slaughter enemies. He has rage mode and over cool abilities.
2099: has a special ability to slow down time and make combat easier and to dodge incoming weapons. He also has some awesome free fall sections.
Noir: uses stealth and can stay stealthy in the shadows.

there are also some awesome first person sections. they show points of interest and also allow you to smack them up good. but they can be difficult to get a hand of.
unfortunately the targeting is that good in this. If you want to throw a barrel or web zip to an enemy be prepared for the game to get confused and the complete opposite.

predictable levels don't ruin this. but the targeting can be annoying.
awesome game play saves this tough. just.

Graphics:
All 4 spider-men have different gameplay mechanics but also have different looking levels:
Amazing: looks like an old comic book, as a similarity to borderlands only there is this grainy texture.
Ultimate: has a colourful and cartoonish look to his universe.
Noir: has an old 40s film look to it complete with very few colours, and a grainy texture.
2099: has the most realistic looking of the bunch, but with colder colours.
Overall the graphics in these universes are amazing and I like every one of them. but there are some problems. Wall crawling is horrible, but it is even more horrible when the game doesn't tell you what you can crawl on. I spent ages on noirs levels trying to crawl some walls and found out that building wall wasn't supposed to be crawled on. Also characters hands can sometimes get stuck in objects. Just play the sandman level and you will see.

only a few songs from the 2099 campaign are memorable. But that doesn't mean it is bad music.

Amazing: Neil Patrik Harris. New animated series. CGI series.
Noir: Animated series.
Ultimate: Josh Keaton. Spectacular spider-man.
2099: Dan Gilvezan .Spider-man and his amazing Friends.
They all did the voice of spidey in these respected TV shows. When they return there voices scream spider man. other voice actors come to take the turn at famous characters like kraven. All in all this acting is amazing.
The sound effects are also quit brilliant with some returning from web of shadows.
all in all, magical.

If there had been more polish this would have been a better game. But I forgive beebox. They have done what arkham did. Take the characters strength and put them in a video game. Well done beebox. Is there going to be a sequel?

Don't make a promise you can't keep

Beebox said Spidey would come out on Tuesday the 7Th of September.
It is actually the 9Th.
You jerks.

so I thought what over promises have never been actually answered?
Duke Nukem. Obama. The war will end. etc etc.

So why can't we hold up promises?

Sometimes, the promises are to big that you realize it will be impossible to fulfill them.
Sometimes it is because you never meant to fulfill them in the first place.
Sometimes you D- I mean mess around with your promise that you end up failing the person(s).

why can't we stop? well it is human nature. You forget sometimes.

but it could be you just want power. Obama knew he couldn't fulfill some of his promises. So he lied a bit.

In Fable III you become the king halfway through but to become king you must have followers. And like the politicians you will make some bad promises and some good promises. And you can't fulfill them all. You become hated. But you had good intentions.

I've veered of course here but now I might forgive beebox. Perhaps they just didn't have the time to release the game world wide on the same day.
And the guys working on Duke Nukem wanted you to have a perfect game.

See I guess that you should be careful with promises. Make small ones. Not big ones.

So I forgive you beebox. The game had better be good though. I will have a fit if I have to play another bad spidey game.

Gears of war 2

Gears of war 2. Bigger. Badder. Ballsier. 3 words that explain gears 2. All those words explain in great detail but cliffy b left something out. More or less......the same. But more refined.

Plot:
It's winter on the planet serra. The locust have began fighting back, after the COG dealt a devastating blow to them with the light mass bombing. realising the only way to beat them is to take them head on, Chairman prescott orders the gears to dig down to the locust stronghold. Meanwhile Dom continues the search for marie.
Diffrent right? Wrong. It follows the same formula as the last.

Tutorial. Cogs attack locust head on. Suceed. Oh wait you failed. go get more data. Attack again. Fight boss. Yay you win.

futhermore, the game asks more questions than it answers.
SPOILERS!! SPOILERS!!

What the hell are these things in the tanks?
Are the locust human?

These the only ones I can say really.

SPOILERS END!! SPOILERS END!!

Gears 3 promises to answer some of the questions. Some. Greaaaaat.

The dialog is cheesy at the first half. when you get baird on your team. It stops. Almost. It does ruin it slightly.

The good stuff? Well there is more detail in the plot, and it does have better emotinal connection to the COGS.
Marias story also helps. Despite the fact people hate this plot and thinks it crops up too much.... I think it's good. it pops up at the right moment and when you do find maria you will choke up a bit. Some great acting. it isnt the best but it is good enough.

Gameplay
Gears was great. But unfourtanly the cover wasn't great and the AI sssuuuuuuuuuuuuuuccccckkkkkkked. In this it is improved. a bit.
AI first. It is smarter. if youre in a fight they will fight as real soldiers. they will resurecet you when youre down. But they can sometimes be stupid and just get themselves killed.
Cover is a lot better. It's fluent, fast, but you can sometimes screw up. Rarely. In gears 3 the cover will be perfect hopefully.

Multiplayer? Great. There isn't anything new here exept horde. the action is fast paced in all modes but horde is truly spectacular.
Using teamwork, you fight against 50 waves of incoming locust. who get tougher after every 10 waves. If you don't fight together? you die. The mode has been copied and improved in diffrent games:
Halo: firefight
Transformers WFC: can't remeber what its called i'm afaid but it is cool.
Army of two: The 40th day: A mode where only two of you fight against wave after wave of enemys.
So really a perfect 10.

music: Is the same. But loses that oompth.

the voice acting is great. The actors are all brilliant with there characters. And the guns sound much more realistic.

Looking back I feel gears of war should have gotten a silver.
but to late now. Gears 2 is brilliant. but not many new features have been added. That is being saved for 3. And to be honest with you? I think I smell a diamond.
But for now gears 2 gets a gold.

The Force Unleased II

Lets face it star wars is a big thing. Bigger than you, me. it is a drama, a romance. And a legend.

It is a remarkble story spanning thousands of years and in 2008 a period had some light shed on it in the force unleashed.

the force unleashed followed a secret apprentice to lord vader. after being betrayed the apprentice learned about the light side and sacrficed himself to save is freinds.

and now in the sequel a mystery has taken place.

Your a clone of starkiller (the apprentice)....or are you?

tihs is why the force unleshed 2 will be good. a mystery where you don't know if you are a clone or a real life human being. This question is gonna plage us until the games realese date which is rumored to be october. I think this is most likely as the game is in the final stages of devlopment. But an early date next year might be more likely as otherwise the game will be thrown amonst the likes of call of duty. And I have a bad feeling about that.

Holidays!!

Well I'm going to devon for a whole week. So I have some annoucments.

Toy Story 3

There is something of a spoiler to this review so read at your peril. It doesn't give anything away but it might spoil it. Not the film. Or the ending.

When I was a kid I remeber seeing a film about toys that came to life. I also remeber waching the sequel in cinema. That was the toy story franchise. And now the final film has come out. Was it good? you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll remeber the first time you saw that first film and feel a warmth that I cannot describe.

Plot:

When Andy (now 17) get's ready to go to college he decides to put all his old toys in the attic exept Woody. long story short, the toys get donated to sunny hill daycare. Woody trys to escape but his freinds whish to stay as it is a happy warm place. But later the talking cowboy finds out that this daycare, doesn't live up to it's name....

Pixar are geniuses. They know what we deserve and give it to us. It is the best film I have seen in a while. I really felt sad to see the people who where role models Get ready to leave the big screen. Why am I so sure? There was a sense of finalty to it. If they made a sequel, it wouldn't work. But it was so good.......especially if you where a kid when you saw it.

Acting:

Oh boy..... Brilliant, legendary....So good, that all other acting becomes terrible. Everyone returns, they know there characters. Even andys voice actor returns. It is memroble. I can't describe it in anymore detail.

Music:

Randy newman, The composer from the first films, it sounds so famailier, which is good. It feels so familier, that you once again feel......What ever you felt when you first saw it.

In the end you will love this film. Go see it in cinema. Then come home and stick on Toy story. And if you have time....watch the second. And remeber.

Today I came up of a way of introducing cletus casady into the ultimate universe. Hope you like it, it will start tommorow with some art at the beginning and end. Here is the plot line...

When a child is mudered the only evidence left is a spider web. Spider-man is blamed, and wanted for life. But peter has enough problems Without the fact that the murder is trying to out him too.
And with the carnage symbiote trying to find a new host, he is in for a hell of a week!

4th spidey

The new spidey game shattered dimensions is going back to the roots of the old PS1 game. I won't go into to much detail, but after an object keeping the dimensions together is destroyed Our friendly neighbourhood spider-man, our friendly crime city spider-man, our friendly future imperfect spider-man and a newly announced spidey must repair the pieces.

Well spidey, spidey noir, spidey 2099 are great characters but this new one?
wears a black suit that looks creepy. So it could either be the spidey character who didn't give up the black suit. Or the spidey who was consumed by the suit. Either way they where evil.

so..... are we playing as an evil hero? or someone new. Either way, Spidey shattered dimensions looks awesome

SPIDER-MAN: the video game

I must have been..... six or seven when one day I caught a glimpse of a small TV spot for a spidey game. And then it was gone. My dad had watched it as well and must have got some idea of the thing I wanted most in the world.
Time passed. and after snooping around for reasons I can't remember I found a game in a draw for the PS1. I asked my mother and father about the game. I can't remember what happened next but I have fond memory's of playing it the next day in a cloth spidey suit.

9 years. (sniff) I miss those days.......DAMN YOU MARVEL!! YOU KILLED SPIDER-MAN!!

Well It has been some time but I can remember both the PS1 version and the PC version which I brought after my beloved PS1 disc died. So let's take a trip down memory lane to the best superhero game ever. Except batman.

Plot
When a reformed Doctor Octavius new machine is stolen by Spider-man, he becomes public enemy number 1. But there is one problem......Peter Parker wasn't the one on stage! he witnessed his own superhero identity steal a machine? an impostor. So Peter dons the red and blue tights to find this Criminal, but a mysterious fog shrouds new york causing panic. But who is behind it?
fantastic. A real comic book plot. you know who is behind it but come on. It is the best spidey plot I have ever heard in a long time.

Graphics:

PS1: well.....there not good. For the time games like Lara croft kicked this in the ass. but they where some of the best on the PS1. Some characters looked okay and the animations where okay. my problem is the fact that some things are taken out. Black cat doesn't have a mask, and spidey has no lines .enviorments are the saviour of this really so a nice shiny 7

PC: okay better. But not much. The characters have all there details, and enviorments look much better. But the animations are worse. The hands POP! you see if spidey turns his fist into a open hand it POPS! not like the PS1 in which he opened his hand. Still it gets an 8

Game play

PS1 & PC: there are two attacks. Punch and kick. punch was faster but was weak, while kick was slower but stronger. You could do combo's but I think they basically did the damage of a three hit combo so they where only there to look cool. The web combos where awesome though. you could chain you're attacks to do some serious damage. There where also 5 web moves.

Web tie: tie an enemy up instead of beating him up. Web ball: fire a web ball to do some massive damage. Web shield: protect yourself, then knock enemies back. Web gloves: do extra punch damage. Web tug: pull an enemy towards you. If he hit you he would be knocked out, but you would lose health. However if you jumped he would hit whatever behind you.

Combat was easy. but spideys other powers? crawilng on walls was easy. jump on the wall and Viola! swinging? double tap jump or press the R2 button. The difficulties? easy, normal, and hard. There was a 4Th though called kid mode. When selected spidey, or black cat or venom or anyone would shout out kid mode. In kid mode you didn't lose webbing so much, and didn't lose webs swinging. It was easier than easy. Cool. Boss fights where awesome, and well missions where really fun. so a perfect....

...10!

Music & Voice acting: The acting is terrific. It's like the characters jumped of the page and voiced themselves in this awesome game! as for music well listen to these

Sound effects: The webbing, the wall crawling, everything exept the cartoon punches rule. Better than the movie sound effects okay.

New Spider-man tp replace Peter Parker

Stephen Wacker has announced that Peter Parker will soon be replaced by a new younger spider-man. Bad idea. Bad, Bad, really Bad idea.

Would it be a good idea if superman was replaced by a younger character? no.
Would it be a good idea if hulk was replaced by someone younger? no.
So........WHY? well here's why:

he hasn't got kids. he hasn't got a car. yeah I know the last example sucked but it's true. But most importantly? he's Peter Parker. He wasn't a handsome, muscular, figure who had girls pleading to spend one night with him and was universally loved ever since he was a kid.
He was scrawny. Unlucky. A geek. And only got his powers from something that should have killed him. we felt for him and he real emotions besides punch that, kick this.

the next one will be a football jock because if you make him a geek it will be the same thing.

lastly?
peter is spider-man. peter usd spidey as a way to show people his fun loving side.We grew up with him, and I really felt a connection with him in his stories.

What am I going to do if he gets replaced
to be honest I'll stop reading comics. AND COMMIT SUICIDE.......

Transformers: The Game

When I was 13 I loved this game. Now I'm 16 and after playing War for Cybertron for days I came back to play it for a burst of memories. I wish I hadn't.

Plot

Two campaigns. One follows the movie, one different. That's it. Oh but it screws it up so much it basically starts going into a retarded song. Still at least there are 2. EXCEPT THERE S£$%. another thing is how the auto bots are portrayed. They are almost as bad as the deciptcons. They kill humans, destroy building's and don't really care about anybody except themselves. Except Sam

Graphics

The Character look good. The transformations are awesome. Some enviroments are good. But sadly the movements are mailto:s@~# humans look really dumb. It's a movie game, I know but still they really suck. Still at least there are realistic transformations.

Game Play

This is really unacceptable. The game play, is the worst in existent. Transforming is easy. Press Y. Not the left thumbstick by accident but Y. Only thing is, it takes ages and you can't change direction. Now let's talk forms.

Robots: They fire guns, and punch. It sucks. The guns don't do any damage so you have to get the crap beaten out of you, and the blocking doesn't help in any way. Melee is horrible. You can only do 3 attacks, no combos and worst of all, you can't change direction. That sucks because some enemies can dodge your moves leading your lumbering transformer to hit a building. plus the action zone pissed me off.

Because you can't leave that area, and if you do, there's only 20 seconds to get back, but you won't because you re a piece of paper blowing in the wind. You keep getting smacked back and it takes you ages to get back up.

The AI sucks. robots keep running in the buildings meaning you can't complete missions. For god sake's this is horrible.

Robot: You are too fast. You can't turn sharp corners. and the flying is so horrible that I almost had a fit. This is too bad. beyond belief. Urghh.

Score: 2

Voice acting

Peter Cullen and Frank Welker save this. The transformers are good, a bland. The humans. Megan Fox is a girly girl. Shia a retarded coward. oh god did I say Peter & Frank saved this? I'm an idiot.

Music

Kind of catchy. One good thing about this, is that it actually rivals the music in the movie. But it isn't the best I've heard.

Transformers: War For Cybertron

Set before the cartoons, comics and other media, WFC follows the decepticons and autobots as they fight for there world.

The Decepticons are trying to harness the power of dark energon and rule the world while the Autobots are trying to save there leader Zeta Prime.

overall it is a great story but the cut scenes are quick and don't give much info. Still it is loads better than the movies story.

Graphics
Overall the endowments are beautiful. We very rarely get to see Cybertron which is the home world of the transformers, but it is a very mechanical, alien world. It has a very peaceful quality to it with the soothing light's and very smooth structures, but is also scarred by war with rubble and dead body's everywhere. There isn't that much colour, except in the autobots, but that is how it should be.

The characters are detailed and there movements are very well done but I had some problems with it. I don't mind the pop in pop out graphics but look carefully at the transformers, there a bit oh I don't know.....BLURRY!

and also the transformations really annoyed me. The reason, is that the character models quickly pop and change. On some transformers you can clearly see that the transformers pop and change while on overs it's more difficult to notice but still, many studios actually tried to make it look accurate. Look at the really crap transformers movie game and you'll notice

Game play
Okay, problems first:

1. There's no cover, I mean your a robot fighting over robots so it's like humans fighting humans. If they had cover this game would be easier and much cooler. I think the sequel should include this.


2. Difficulty's are too high. Easy is okay but when you get to the end it just gets almost impossible.


3. Not good enough customization for multiplayers characters. For one your basically playing as recoloured as autobots and decepticons. The weapons aren't also fair. For one the leader gets inaccurate weapons besides the smg and the really bad pistol. I really think he should have got the soldiers mini gun.

The good things are is that combat is fluent and effective, the transformations are fast and easy and the Special powers each character have are great, and well multiplayer is addictive. you will really enjoy this game as everything is very fast and fluent and like I said transformations are quick and easy and don't take long at all.

Okay the voice acting is the best I have ever heard in a game, peter Cullen returns to voice optimus but over famous actors lend a new take on famous characters from megatron to bumble bee

the music isn't 80's music and isn't Cartoon music. It's effective techno like rock that pumps the adrenaline and fits the game like a dream. The sound effects also resemble the effects from the movie which was amazing. This is a really special game.

This is a special transformer, shooter, action game but it could have been improved. The sequel may fix these but for now a shiny gold has been given to the transformers

History

The Transformers started off as a line of toys that could turn into trucks, cars, jets and guns. A hit in the 80's the toys hit the small screen and big screen along with numerous appearances in comics. After disappearing in the 90's, the 2007 transformer movie brought a new audience of children's and teenagers into the transformers saga. recently a new cartoon has been confirmed and will reunite the old cast of the 80's show.
